For Supplementary Education
We support the following NGOs providing supplementary education for children in need:
-
Vergal (Kanchipuram)
- The NGO works to prevent child labour by providing children with education materials (such as notebooks, uniforms, etc.) and helping them with their higher education. At present, it is sponsoring the education of a girl student at the Chidambaram College of Nursing – i.e. an annual fee of Rs. 55,000/-.
-
Welfare Education Trust (Pallavaram)
- The Trust runs a tuition centre that provides supplementary education for 100 children. We at Udhavum Ullangal pay the tutors’ salary - Rs. 2000/- per month.
-
Manam Malarattum (Tirupattur)
- A learning centre that provides free tuition for the students of government schools in the surrounding villages, so as to enable them to perform well in their school final exams.
-
South region Integrated Differently-abled Development Society (SIDDS) (Tuticorin)
- SIDDS helps educate the differently-abled by covering their educational expenses like fees, uniforms, notebooks, etc. It also distributes monthly provisions to the differently-abled.
-
Sister Nivedita Mission Trust (Shencottai)
- The Trust uses government schemes to channel funds to people in need and acts as a link between self-help groups (SHGs) and banks. It also helps educate the disabled and leprosy-affected, and supplies them with monthly provisions.
