Programmes

Reach out to people in need and you will often find more than one way to help. Support a disaster victim in restarting her life and you may learn that she could also benefit from advanced healthcare or educational facilities for her children.

Over the years, as we moved from project to project, 6 broad areas of activity evolved. And as we continue our work in these focus areas, they take on the form of established programmes.

Education

Educating underprivileged children is the surest way to help them script a better future. We support a large number of children with educational sponsorship. We also go beyond financial assistance to improve the quality of learning by addressing aspects like school infrastructure, family environment, all round development, and appropriate guidance.

Healthcare

When the poor have a way to heal, their hope for a better future stays alive. Health needs are the poor’s most recurring and pressing needs. We respond to health emergencies, give medicines for the chronically ill, provide counselling, offer nutritional support, organise regular health camps and encourage blood and organ donation.

Aid to Differently Abled

Our support to the differently abled covers a full spectrum – we supply monthly provisions, help build shelters, support better livelihoods, and offer financial support for landmark events such as marriages. As the children of the differently abled are also affected by the impairment, we also focus on supporting their education.

Festivals & Observances

Special days are what make life extra special. Days dedicated to causes keep the flame burning. We understand this and give children the joy of their life with a memorable Deepavali every year. We also wholeheartedly organise special events to aid the battle against AIDS, cancer and leprosy.

Disaster Relief

In the aftermath of a disaster, victims need help putting their lives back together; and in these situations a quick reaction is essential. Over the years our volunteers have gained experience in reacting with speed to a number of critical situations, bringing the right type of aid to people who need it the most.

Aid to NGOs

Small NGOs have a big heart but not much support. Without the networks, contacts, and resources available in the city, they struggle to find the funds they need. We help such NGOs by contributing from the funds we raise for their activities or connecting them to other potential supporters.
