Inauguration of Computer Lab at Sivananda Aided School, Madhanam (near Seerkazhi)

Wed, 01/26/2011 On January 26 2011, the Computer Lab built with the support of Udhavum Ullangal will be inaugurated at the Sivananda Aided School in Madhanam, near Seerkazhi.
Mr. D. Sankara Narayanan, Chief Regional Manager of the Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), Nagapattinam will inaugurate the lab in the presence of Mr. P. Chandrasekaran, AEEO of Kollidam.
Sivananda Aided School, judged the Best School in 2009, has been functioning since 1954 and presently has 250 boys and girls, taught by 9 teachers. The students are mostly children of economically weaker and agricultural labourers. At Udhavum Ullangal, we believe educating a child helps the family thrive and that Computer Literacy is an essential part of an education that will help create livelihood opportunities.
