Anandha Deepavali 2010, Sivakasi

Sun, 10/31/2010 On Sunday, October 31, 2010, Udhavum Ullangal goes to Sivakasi to create the joy of celebrating Deepavali for 850 children rescued from the shackles of child labour. The 850 children are now being rehabilitated under the National Child Labour Project (NCLP), Sivakasi.
As their lives are being rebuilt through a partnership between the government and NGOs, we can give them a chance to rejoice and experience for an entire day the great joy of fun, cheer, lighting crackers, relishing delicious food and wearing new clothes.
Udhavum Ullangal started its mission of selfless service with Anandha Deepavali in 1998 and Anandha Deepavali continues to grow strong, with the generous and whole-hearted support of all sections of society.
The celebrations will take place at the Master Printers Association, Sivakasi.
