On Sunday, October 16, 2011, 1414 children from 26 organizations will celebrate the festival of lights at Krishnaswamy Kalyana Mandapam in T. Nagar. Each of the children will receive:
- A Sweet Box

About Anandha Deepavali
Anandha Deepavali is a unique celebration in which deprived and disadvantaged children from various Homes in Chennai and nearby places are brought together each year before Deepavali for one day of festivity, feasting, and fun; each child also gets a custom-tailored, new colourful dress.
For 13 years now, with the generous and unstinting support of service-minded people like you, thousands of children have received new dresses, grand feasts, a chance to burst crackers, meet celebrities, sing, dance and have great fun every Deepavali day. Apart from celebrating Deepavali, gifting new clothes, sweets and crackers, we also support the education of these children through this initiative. We request you to please take your precious time out and speak with your benevolent friends and acquaintances about us and the event. Such a happy event for the children is not possible without the heartfelt financial support of well wishers. Please spread the word and suggest to people you know that their support for Anandha Deepavali is invited.
